Through the philanthropic support of our generous supporters the Edgar and Jo Anne Jones Women's Diagnostic Center at Tri-City was opened in March of 2001. Since that time this landmark Center continues to provide over 12,000 mammograms per year to residents of San Diego County.

In July 2007 the Center celebrated the addition of new digital mammography equipment, making Tri-City Medical Center the first facility to offer digital mammography services in North County. The newly acquired equipment is the most advanced technology available for breast imaging.

The Women's Diagnostic Center has been accredited by the American College of Radiology and certified by the FDA as a Quality Breast Imaging Center. With its state-of-the-art equipment and high level of service, the Center has far exceeded the vision set forth by its benefactor at its opening.

With the opening of this elegant Women's Diagnostic Center, Tri-City Medical Center will reach beyond the standards in offering a professional, feminine environment to meet the breast health needs of North County women, while recognizing them as the unique individuals they are.

The Center itself houses state-of-the-art mammography equipment, as well as a stereotactic breast biopsy machine and offers an array of vital breast health services in an elegant, serene and distinctly feminine environment.

Every design aspect of the Edgar and Jo Anne Jones Women's Diagnostic Center was overseen personally by Mrs. Jo Anne Jones, past President of the Tri-City Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees and breast cancer survivor.

The Center truly provides the very best environment with the very best care for women of North San Diego County.
