Letter from our President

As we bid farewell to 2023, I am compelled to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support throughout the year. Your generosity has been the driving force behind the Tri-City Hospital Foundation's impactful initiatives, and I am pleased to share a brief overview of our achievements.

In 2023, our focus remained steadfast on enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality for our community.

The construction underway on the new 3T MRI Suite and the Emergency Department will be monumental for Tri-City Medical Center for years to come.

Thanks to the efforts of our Person of the Year for 2023, Sarah Kolb, new life-saving technology is being used today at Tri-City Medical Center. The Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), combined with lon Robotics, is able to detect, test and remove lung nodules that show signs of cancer. No longer will the patrons of North County be asked to wait and come back in six months. We can deliver exceptional care today and provide those with feedback, at times, within the same day. Sarah Kolb has single-handedly made this possible and is in the process of providing even more technological breakthroughs to our incredible medical center.

Now in 2024, we embark on a new chapter filled with promise and opportunity together with our future partners at UC San Diego Health (UCSD). The Tri-City Hospital Foundation is poised to build upon the successes of the past year, leveraging your support to further elevate healthcare standards and meet the evolving needs of our community. Your contributions have empowered us to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families facing medical challenges, providing much-needed support and relief.

In the spirit of the upcoming year, let us reaffirm our shared commitment to fostering a healthier community. Your continued support remains our greatest asset, and we are excited about the positive impact we can create together in 2024.
